MARINA DIVESTITURE

The Federal Government has provided Leamington with a bill of sale for the marina structures.  This year, the Municipality will enter into a lease arrangement with the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) for the water lots located in the marina basin. 

The Municipality will also enter into a lease agreement with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for the western section of the harbour area and will further purchase from the Ministry of Natural Resources the uplands (lands north of the promenade and those lands where the marina buildings and picnic shelters are located).

It is envisioned the transactions will be completed by summer of 2009.
