.A list of eligible voters is available for inspection during regular business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, in the Clerk’s Office, 38 Erie Street North. If you are not on the Voters’ List or the information about you is incorrect, you may fill out an application to be added to the list or have your information corrected.

Persons wishing to seek elected municipal or local board office should read the relevant legislation and regulations for qualifications required for the office, e.g. the Municipal Act, 2001 , the Education Act , and the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 .
It is the responsibility of the candidate to determine whether he or she is qualified to be elected to and hold the office.
Qualifications - Municipal Office
A candidate for municipal office must, upon nomination, be a qualified municipal elector and fulfill all of the following requirements:
- a resident of or the owner or tenant of land in the Municipality of Leamington or the spouse of such a person;
- a Canadian citizen;
- at least eighteen (18) years old;
- not be legally prohibited from voting; and
- not be disqualified by any legislation from holding municipal office.
Note: A candidate, if nominated, must remain qualified throughout the election and, if elected, throughout the term of office. School board candidates should confirm that they have the qualifications of the Education Act.
