TAXICAB DRIVER PERMITS  

Applicants applying for a taxicab driver permit must be 18 years of age.  Only original documents will be accepted for applications.

The attached Taxicab Driver Permit  application must be completed and submitted in person to the Municipal Office along with the following information:

*  POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE - Apply for the certificate in the Municipality you live in.  Leamington
   Police Services, fee is $35 payable by cash – you will require your Driver’s Licence and your Birth Certificate
   or Passport.

*  DRIVER’S ABSTRACT - Available at the Ministry of Transportation Office, 215 Talbot Street East -

    $12.00 payable by cash or credit card -you will require your Driver’s Licence.

* PROOF OF CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP (Birth Certificate, Valid Passport, Permanent Resident or Landed
   Immigrant Status in Canada)

* 2 PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS

Please note that the completed application must be submitted in person at which
time the applicant will be required to sign in the presence of a commissioner.

FEE:  Taxi Driver Permit $52.00 - permit valid for 24 months

For your convenience, the application for a Taxi Owner's Licence has been attached.   Please contact the Manager of Corporate Services if you wish to open a Taxi Company.
