| Leamington Accessibility Plan
On December 14, 2001, the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 (the ODA), was passed to improve access and opportunities for people with disabilities.
The ODA requires the municipality with a population of 10,000 or more to set up an Accessibility Advisory Committee and prepare an accessibility plan. The ODA also requires the municipality to prepare an accessibility plan annually.
The Leamington Accessibility Advisory Committee has met on numerous occasions to address the needs of the people with disabilities.
A copy of the 2007-2008 Accessibility Plan highlights the works completed in 2007 and works reviewed for 2008.
