Zoning By-law Amendment

A Zoning Bylaw Amendment (ZBA) is a process in order to change the use of a property and its regulations.  There are generally ten steps in the processing of a ZBA, which takes a minimum of 90 days.   In the event that the Municipality either refuses or neglects to act, The Planning Act provides that the applicant may appeal the amendment to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) and the matter is decided at an OMB Hearing.
