What is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is a non-profit program relying on cooperation from the police, local media and citzens in our area. Crime Stoppers encourages people to call with information about crimes already committed, those about to occcur or the whereabouts of wanted persons.

How Does it Work?
1) A crime is committed and you know who is responsible.
2) Call Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS (258-8477)
3) Your information will be taken in strict confidence. Your annonymity is guaranteed. You will never have to give your name or testify in court. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display.
4) You will be issued with a confidential code number. Keep this number a secret to ensure annonymity.
5) You will be asked to call back from time to time for an update on your tip.
6) If your tip leads to a successful conclusion of a case, you become eligible for a cash reward.
7) Your reward will be passed on to you after proper code number identification at a pre-arranged location.
Who Operates Crime Stoppers?
In each community, Crime Stoppers is managed by a civilian Board of Directors who establish policy, raise funds to operate the program and authourize reward payments.
Where Does the Money Come From?
Crime Stoppers is cost effective and is not a burden on taxpayers. It is supported through it's own fund raising activities and through donations from individuals, companies and service groups.
