The Pollution Control Plant has it's own laboratory division that is responsible for monitoring the plants operation, incoming liquid waste from haulers, leachate from landfill and enforcement of the Industrial sewer By-law.  Lab personnel complete the monthly reports to the Ministry Of Environment.

Over the past year the laboratory has been working extensively with the industries reviewing and testing for by-law compliance.

The Laboratory's goal is zero discharge of toxins. both Industrial and Municipal.
