The Municipality of Leamington regrets to announce that the Leamington to Windsor (LTW) Transit Service will be discontinued effective April 30, 2026.
The decision follows the expiry of provincial funding and the County of Essex’s decision not to provide ongoing financial support for the regional transit service. Update on Demolition of Former Secondary School

The Municipality of Leamington is advancing to the next phase of demolition of the former Leamington District Secondary School, located at 125 Talbot Street West.
A contractor working on behalf of the Municipality has begun abatement activities, including the safe removal of hazardous materials within the building. Exterior demolition is anticipated to begin in the new year and is expected to be completed in

Leamington Council held a public meeting on October 28, 2025 to consider Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) No. 358. The application was approved, and By-law No. 92-25 to amend ZBA 890-90, as amended, was passed by Leamington Council.
The purpose and effect of this by-law is to rezone the property from Commercial General (C6) to a site specific Commercial General (C6-18) to permit a Mixed-use Development as defined in ZBA 890-09. It will also establish the following site specific zone provisions:
