Project Update: Sewer Separation and Road Reconstruction on Queens, John, Albert, Baird & Elliott

The Municipality of Leamington is providing an update on the ongoing sewer separation and road reconstruction project affecting Queens Avenue, John Street, Albert Street, Baird Avenue, and Elliott Street.

Queens Avenue, John Street, Albert Street, and Baird Avenue are now open to local through traffic. Paving on these streets is anticipated to begin the week of October 27, weather permitting.

Elliott Street, from Smith Avenue to Talbot Street West, remains closed while construction continues.

The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists of updated traffic access related to the Seacliff Drive West Sanitary Sewer Extension and Roundabout Construction project.

Seacliff Drive West is closed to through traffic while construction continues. All residents and businesses east of Paglione Drive, but not including Paglione Drive, will have access from the east end of the project via Seacliff Drive at Sherk Street.

New All-Way Stop Installed at Pulford Avenue Intersection

The Municipality of Leamington has installed a new all-way stop at the intersection of Pulford Avenue, Canadian Tire, and County Fair Mall access.

The change was implemented in response to community concerns related to pedestrian safety, driver visibility, and the adequacy of existing traffic control measures in the area.

All-way stop controls play an important role in managing vehicle flow and improving safety, particularly in areas with higher traffic volumes and frequent pedestrian activity.

Notice of Temporary Road and Trail Closure: Sewer Repair and Restoration Work – MCR Drive

The Municipality of Leamington will be undertaking sewer repair and restoration work on MCR Drive between Askew Street and Talbot Street West.

Beginning Tuesday, October 21, 2025, MCR Drive will be temporarily closed between Askew Street and Talbot Street West. The Leamington Municipal Trail, located between Oak Street West and Talbot Street West, will also be closed to allow for the work to be completed.

These closures are expected to remain in effect until mid-December, weather permitting.
