At the public meeting held on April 26, 2022, Council approved Official Plan Amendment No. 13 (OPA No. 13) which allowed a change to Schedule ‘B’ ‘Resource Overlay’ of the Leamington Official Plan. The Municipality of Leamington has resumed civil marriage ceremonies and photo session rentals at the Leamington Municipal Building after the pandemic halted the services in 2020.
Civil marriage ceremonies are performed by an officiant and held at the Leamington Municipal Building as well as at various locations throughout the County of Essex, Chatham-Kent and the City of Windsor.

The Council of the Municipality of Leamington will hold a Public Meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 6:00 PM to present and obtain public input on the Municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.
