Leamington Council approves budget for 2018

Leamington, ON December 15, 2017 —  As a result of budget deliberations Tuesday December 12 and Wednesday December 13, 2017, Leamington Town Council approved the proposed 2018 municipal budget with a 1.8% increase to the municipal levy. 

The 2018 budget includes $29.5 million in capital infrastructure projects, which is similar to the 2017 approved budget. “This year’s budget is a sustainable & responsible budget that will provide and enhance services to the Municipality of Leamington.”...

Leaf/Yard Waste Collection Extended

Due to warmer than usual weather, the 2017 leaf/yard collection program has been extended through next week.

Collection will take place on Wednesday December 6, 2017 for residents on both sides of Erie Street including areas east of Erie Street, and on Friday December 8, 2017 for residents west of Erie Street.

Residents must place leaves in acceptable yard waste containers such as garbage cans/pails, paper yard waste bags or cardboard boxes.  Please note that plastic bags will not be accepted.

Leamington Transit Temporary Route Change

Effective: Monday November 20, 2017

The regular route will be temporarily changed in the Talbot Street West and Oak Street West area as shown by dashed line below.

The change in route is to allow a road closure for sidewalk construction on Oak Street West. Bus Stop 29 will be closed for the duration of the temporary route change.
