Road Closure - John Street and Queens Avenue

The Municipality of Leamington has begun work on the John Street sewer separation and road reconstruction project. The project is estimated to continue through to November 2020.

For the duration of the project, Queens Avenue from Talbot Street West to John Street, and John Street from Queens Avenue to Erie Street North will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Access for local area residents will be maintained; however, no through traffic will be permitted. 

Access to area businesses will remain open...

On Monday, July 6, the Province of Ontario announced that Leamington could move to Stage 2 of the province’s reopening plan as of Tuesday, July 7. Bruce Power has provided a 50-bed pop-up facility to the Municipality of Leamington to assist in the COVID-19 fight as the Windsor-Essex region battles an outbreak affecting local agricultural workers.
