Notice of Passing - Zoning By-law Amendment - South East Corner of Georgia and Sherk Street

By-law Number 58-16 was passed to change the zoning of the vacant land located at the South East Corner of Sherk Street and Georgia Avenue from Residential Zone (R1) to a site specific Residential Zone (R3-19) permitting the construction of a 5 unit one storey residential dwelling to be developed subject to Site Plan Control Approval.

Leamington, ON October 20, 2016 — The Municipality continues to work with appropriate agencies to mitigate the emission of a mixture of gases from an abandoned well located at a private residence in the 200 block of Robson Road.
Monitoring and repair equipment is being utilized in the area which may cause a change in traffic patterns. Please note that an outdoor burning ban continues in the immediate area until further notice.

Monitoring of Gas from Abandoned Well

Leamington, ON October 18, 2016 - There is a mixture of gases from an abandoned well escaping outside of a private residence located in the 200 block of Robson Road.
The Municipality is working with emergency crews and has contacted responsible Ministries and other agencies in order to obtain assistance. Two residences have been evacuated as a precaution.
You will see monitoring equipment being utilized in the area and the roads will be closed (except for local traffic) for this purpose. Please...
Notice of Public Meeting - Consent and Zoning By-law Amendment - 116 Mersea Road 8

The owner of 116 Mersea Road 8 has submitted the necessary applications to add the west half of the farm lot back to the abutting farm to the immediate west at 760 County Road 31 and create a separate lot for the existing house. Those lands for the new farm will be rezoned from A3 Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone to A1 Agricultural General Zone and the existing house from A1 Agricultural General Zone to A5 Agricultural Residential Zone.

The owner of 427 Mersea Road 6 has submitted the necessary applications to create a separate lot for the existing house. Those lands will be rezoned from A1 Agricultural General Zone to A5 Agricultural Residential Zone.
