Leamington Seeking Citizens for Committees

The Municipality of Leamington is seeking interested citizens to serve on its advisory committees during the upcoming new term of Council (2022-2026). Serving on a municipal committee is a way to be involved and to help make a difference in your community. Committee members provide advice to Council on different issues and help contribute to the development of policies, programs and initiatives that improve your community. The Municipality is seeking new members for the following committees:

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, December 20, 2022, Council will:

  • Hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider the following matter:
    • Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 264 related to 201 Highway 3 to permit a dog boarding kennel as a secondary use to the existing farm operation.

Seeking Nominations for BIA Board Members and Notice of General Meeting of the Members

The Uptown Leamington Business Improvement Area (BIA) Board of Management is seeking nominations to fill seven Board Member positions for the current term (ending November 14, 2026). These Board Member positions are open to any individual who is:

  • a commercial property owner in the BIA-defined area;
  • a tenant of commercial property in the BIA- defined area;
  • a business owner in the BIA-defined area;

New all-way stop – Robson Road and Cherry Lane

A new all-way stop control will be operational at the intersection of Robson Road and Cherry Lane beginning Monday, December 19, 2022.

At its August 9, 2022 meeting, Leamington Council approved the all-way stop as a traffic calming measure and to improve the overall operation and safety of the intersection.

Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution at this intersection as Robson Road traffic adjusts to the new stop signs.
