Council will consider the following reports and matters at its upcoming Council meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020:

The Municipality of Leamington has retained Dillon Consulting Limited to undertake a study to improve municipal drainage infrastructure in Southwest Leamington to support development in the area. The study is considering current drainage challenges, upgrades required and new infrastructure. A combined sanitary and storm water sewer currently collects both household sewage and rainfall runoff within the existing developed area. Council Matters - February 11, 2020

At the Council meeting held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Council:

  • Approved an amendment to the Municipality’s Fees and Charges By-law to allow a boater to moor for the day (up to a maximum of 3 hours) at no cost. The day rate of $21 will be applied to those staying longer than 3 hours but not overnight. The approved charges are outlined below.

Leamington Council Passes 2020 Budget

As a result of budget deliberations held February 4 and February 5, 2020, Leamington Council approved the proposed 2020 municipal budget with a 1.8% increase to the municipal levies.  

The tax rate increase translates to an additional $37.76 on the municipal portion of a tax bill based on an average assessment value of $175,000.
