Notice of Temporary Road Closures – Hogs for Hospice Motorcycle Rally

The Hogs for Hospice Motorcycle Rally is taking place in Leamington on Friday, July 29, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, 2022. Due to scheduled events, there will be temporary road closures throughout the weekend.

The following road closures will be in place on Friday, July 29, through to and including Sunday, July 31, 2022:

  • Seacliff Drive West from Erie Street to Sherk Street
  • Forest Avenue
  • Conover Avenue, between Stewart Crescent and Forest Avenue
  • Lombardy Lane entrance onto Seacliff Drive...

Temporary Road Closure – Ellison Ave between Carter Ave and Nicholas St

Contractors working on behalf of the Municipality of Leamington have begun resurfacing Ellison Avenue, between Carter Avenue and Nicholas Street. The project is expected to be completed on Friday, July 22, 2022.  

During the resurfacing project, Ellison Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions. Access to local area residences will be available; however, no through traffic will be permitted.

Leamington Council meetings transition to a hybrid format

The Municipality of Leamington has transitioned its Council meetings to a hybrid mix of in-person attendees and remote meeting participants. The first hybrid Council meeting was held on July 12.

The Municipality of Leamington has partnered with Pathway to Potential (P2P) and The Bridge Youth Resource Centre to develop a free recreation membership program at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre for at-risk youth in Leamington.

The program will grant youth clients of The Bridge Youth Resource Centre unlimited access to the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre programs and amenities over the year. The program has been developed to encourage healthy interests, strengthen leadership skills...

The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, will present the third concert of the Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
