The Municipality of Leamington, in partnership with The Bank Theatre, will present the first of four concerts of the Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Leamington’s SUNSET® Amphitheatre will set the stage for The Ashley Lynn Experience at 8:30 PM with opener Almost Famous Band taking the stage at 7:30 PM.

Temporary Road Closure – Orange Street

Orange Street, between Bowman Avenue and Whitwam Avenue, is temporarily closed for emergency sewer repairs for approximately three days. On the last day of repairs, a portion of Whitwam Avenue will be closed from Orange Street to Mill Street East.

Access for residents will be maintained.

Leamington extending LTGO on-demand transit hours for summer events

The Municipality of Leamington is extending its LTGO on-demand transit service hours to bring residents to and from summer events conveniently and safely.

Beginning with the first Mill St. Market being held on Friday, June 17, LTGO transit hours will be extended until 11:00 PM to get residents to and from the event. Transit hours will also be extended to 11:00 PM for summer concerts at the SUNSET® Amphitheatre, and until 12:30 AM during the Hogs for Hospice weekend beginning Thursday, July 28.

Leamington Community Improvement Plan Grant Program now open

The Municipality of Leamington is now accepting applications for 2022 Community Improvement Plan (CIP) grant funding.

The CIP aims to revitalize uptown Leamington through the provision of financial incentive grants that focus on the maintenance and rehabilitation of existing buildings, the development or redevelopment of uptown properties, including the addition of residential units, the rebate of municipal fees and opportunities to attract and assist new investments and businesses to the area. 

Temporary Road Closure – Seacliff Drive East

The Municipality of Leamington will be undertaking the rehabilitation of an existing storm manhole located near the trail crossing on Seacliff Drive East. Construction is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

During construction, Seacliff Drive East will be completely closed to vehicle traffic, in both directions, at the trail crossing for approximately four weeks.

Access to local area residences and businesses will be available; however, no through traffic will be permitted.
