Leamington Council will hold an electronic Council meeting on August 11, 2020 at 6:00 PM to consider the following items:

COVID-19 Related Reports

  • Receive a report with regard to the return to use and gradual and safe re-opening of Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.
  • Consider the authorization of entering into an agreement with the Branding Loft for the creation and implementation of a Tourism Regional Recovery Fund Plan.
  • Consider a by-law to require masks in public spaces.

Leamington Municipal Services Closed for Civic Holiday

Leamington municipal services will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2020 in observance of the Civic Holiday.

Residents can continue to report municipal issues online at

This week, Medical Officers of Health in Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex identified the Low German speaking community as having a surge of COVID-19 positive cases. Like other groups that have been identified in the past with the same risk, it is important to understand that this is a health issue.

At the Council meeting held on July 28, 2020, Council:

  • Received drinking water system inspection reports from The Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) for the Leamington (Union) Distribution System and for the Leamington (Wheatley) Distribution System.  A copy of these reports are available on the municipal website for review.
