Building Services

Building Services reviews permit applications, issues permits and conducts inspections in accordance with the Ontario Building Code, the Municipality's Zoning By-law and other legislation.

A Building Permit is your formal permission from the Municipality of Leamington to begin construction, demolition, addition or renovation on your property.

Building Permits and Approvals

Most construction, renovations, alterations and demolitions require one or more Building Permits. The process begins when you submit a completed application form together with the supporting documents and applicable fees. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or debit.

To apply for a permit you will need to submit the following required information.

It is your responsibility to contact the municipality to conduct the required inspections once your construction begins. The required inspections are listed on your Building Permit.
