Class B Refrigeration Operator 

Description:

Reporting to the Facility Supervisor, the Class B Refrigeration Operator is responsible for operating the ammonia refrigeration system as outlined in the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000 (TSSA) regulations at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Center (NFFRC). This position is also responsible for performing the overall maintenance and janitorial duties and assisting with the efficient operation of all the physical plant equipment associated with the arenas and swimming pool.

Charge Staff and Front Desk Staff

Description:

Reporting to the Supervisor of Membership Services and Marketing or designate, the Charge Staff and Front Desk Staff is responsible for:

  • Monitoring facility and staff and providing guidance where needed.
  • Greeting guests to the facility, addressing questions and concerns, and enforcing policies.
  • Assisting guests regarding the facility’s services and programs both in-person and by telephone.
  • Facility rentals and set-up for events as required.
  • Program registration for customers and point of sale transactions.
  • Following emergency procedures and addressing situations as they arise.

Crossing Guard

Description:

Weight Room Attendant

Description:

Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation & Fitness Programs, the Weight Room Attendant will be responsible for supervising the members and patrons of the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre weight room as well as ensuring equipment is kept clean and orderly. The main responsibilities of the weight room attendant are to assist patrons, handle immediate first aid needs, clean and sanitize weight room equipment, answer any questions or concerns and provide weight room orientations. The Weight Room Attendant must be able to follow directions and perform the duties assigned in a friendly manner while communicating with the Supervisor.

Working for us: 

Upon Hire
  • A satisfactory police clearance will be requested (must be within 30 days of hire date).
  • Where required, (students) must provide at their own expense CSA (Green Patch) safety shoes or boots.
  • Work clothing must be worn in accordance with the standards set by the hiring department.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the Corporation must be worn as per training and task requirements.
  • Assigned online health and safety training is to be completed prior to starting work.
