Understanding Oversized Load Permits
Oversized Load Permits are essential for any vehicle or load exceeding the standard dimensions outlined by the Highway Traffic Act R.S.O. 1990 and its subsidiary regulations. The need for such permits arises under the following conditions:

Width: Exceeding 2.6 meters (8.5 feet)

Length: The combined length of the truck and load exceeds 23 meters (75.46 feet)

Height: Over 4.15 meters (13.5 feet)

Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW): Surpassing 36,364 kg (80,000 lbs)
