Boil Water Advisory Issued for All Users of the Wheatley Drinking Water System
The Medical Officer of Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for private waterline system users serviced by the Wheatley Drinking Water System. This Boil Water Advisory affects the following locations within the Municipality of Leamington:
- Beach Blvd
- Carr Avenue
- Cotterie Park
- A portion of Fox Run Road - (addresses 2404 to 2418 Fox Run Road)
- Hickson Road
- Julien Avenue
- Kay Avenue
- Lakeshore Drive
- Marentette Avenue
- A portion of Mersea Road 2 - (addresses 2120 to 2235 Mersea Road 2)
- Miami Avenue
- Milo Road
- Patricia Avenue
- Pulley Road
- Silver Avenue
- Tampa Avenue
This Boil Water Advisory only applies to Leamington residents that are serviced by the Wheatley Drinking Water System. Please refer to the attached map.
The reason for the boil water advisory is due to abnormal water sampling results.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is asking that only bottled water, or water brought to a hard boil for one (1) minute should be used for consumption, infant feeding, or food and ice preparation. The boil water advisory will remain in effect until further notice. There have been no illnesses reported to date.
