Council Considers – April 12, 2022
Leamington Council will hold an electronic Council meeting on April 12, 2022, at 6:00 PM. Council will consider:
- A Zoning By-law amendment application to remove the Holding (H) symbol from zoning of the 21 vacant properties, municipally known as 1-10 Sunningdale Drive, 15-19 Sunningdale Drive, and 2-16 Heathview Trail through to allow the development of 21 single unit residential dwellings.
- Receiving and adopting the Erie South, Sherk, Seacliff, Oak Street Traffic Study Final Report prepared by McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. and the Erie South, Sherk, Seacliff, Oak Street Traffic Study Final Report be approved in principle as a basis for future infrastructure improvements, property acquisition, road, sidewalk, trail and cycling facilities, and traffic operations, in the Study Area.
- Retaining RC Spencer Associates Inc., to complete the engineering services for the Queen, John, Albert, Baird and Elliot Sewer Separation and Road Reconstruction Project.
- Awarding the Seacliff Drive East Storm Maintenance Hole 424-50 Rehabilitation project to Elmara Construction CO. LTD in the amount of $139,452.00 (plus applicable taxes).
- Receiving the following reports:
- 2021 Union Water Supply System Annual Report;
- 2021 Union Water Supply System Summary Report;
- 2021 Leamington (Union) Distribution System Annual Report;
- 2021 Wheatley Drinking Water System Annual Report; and
- 2021 Leamington (Wheatley) Distribution System Annual Report.
- Awarding the 2022-2024 turf maintenance contract, in the amount of $87,840 plus HST for the 2022 season to KnM Yard Care.
- Receiving the recommendations from the Municipal Grants Review Committee and approving the 2022 Municipal Grants totaling $62,977 to be distributed as follows:
- The Bridge Youth and Resource Centre - $5,000
- Erie Shores Family Health Team - $10,000
- Erie Shores Health Foundation - $10,000
- Leamington Horticultural Society - $2,000
- Maryvale Adolescent and Family Services - $15,000
- The Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County - $5,000
- ProsperUS – United Way - $3,227
- The Salvation Army - $5,000
- Southern Footprints Race - $250
- Windsor Symphony Orchestra - $7,500; and
The additional $19,977 for the 2022 Municipal over the 2022 approved budget be funded through the General and Administration Reserve.
- Retaining the services of the Sun Parlour Players Community Theatre for the organization and production of the 2022 Music Onthe42 Summer Concert Series.
- Approving the terms of reference for the North East Trunk Sanitary Sewer Line Business Case Request for Proposals.
