Leamington Council will hold an electronic Council meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 6:00 PM to consider staff reports and decisions related to the COVID-19 pandemic response.

COVID-19 Related Reports 

LKRC Rental Income: A recommendation to waive the rental fees at the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex for the South Essex Community Council, the Kinsmen Club of Leamington and Renew Physiotherapy as the facility remains closed due to COVID-19

Regular Business Reports

Leamington Municipal Marina Security: Entering into agreement with the Commissionaires to perform security services at the Marina in the amount of $34,428.92 for year 1 and $35,465.05 for year 2.

Livestream Policy: A policy for the livestreaming of Council meetings to ensure that it complies with internal policies, regulation and legislation.

Kinsmen Club of Leamington: Entering into an agreement with the Kinsmen Club in connection with the concession at Seacliff Park, “Locker Room Lounge” including the canteen, and for the use of the “Kinsmen Clubhouse” at the Kinsmen Recreation Complex.

Equipment for Parks Maintenance: A report to consider the purchase of a 2020 Jacobsen HR600 wide area mower in the amount of $69,500 a 2020 John Deere TX Gator all-terrain utility vehicle in the amount of $12,700, and a 2020 Toro Z-Master 3000 zero turn mower in the amount of $16,240.

Vehicle Purchase for Public Works: A report to consider the purchase of a 2020 Ford F550 gasoline cab and chassis in the amount of $45,115 plus HST.

Leamington Transit: A report recommending a purchase from Alexander Denis (Canada) Inc. through the Metrolinx for Two Conventional Transit Buses in an amount not to exceed $910,000 plus taxes. Conventional transit buses improves the capacity of public transit infrastructure and improves quality and safety of the existing transit system. They have a much longer useful life, result in improved passenger and driver comfort, and have additional seating capacity and passenger room over the current cutaways. The 10.5 meter recommended conventional transit buses have 24 seats and 2 wheelchair positions. 

Due to precautions being taken due to the COVID-19 emergency, no in-person attendance or delegations will be permitted at this meeting. If a person wishes to address an item listed on the agenda, a person may send an electronic submission to the Clerk at clerks@leamington.ca prior to the start of the meeting and such submission shall be provided to Council at the meeting. 

Although the meeting is closed to the public, it will be streamed live online at www.leamington.ca/live.
