Council Considers – July 27, 2021

Leamington Council will hold an electronic Council meeting on July 27, 2021 at 6:00 PM to consider the following reports:

  • A Public Meeting under the Drainage Act regarding a New Access Culvert at Parcel 610-02910 for the Driedger Drain.
  • Approving the granting of right of access within various road allowances to Leamington Area Drip Irrigation Inc. for the purposes of constructing water mains to facilitate additional greenhouse growth.
  • Adopting the Engineer’s report prepared by NJ Peralta Engineering for the Changes in Assessment to the Reid Drain- 11th Concession Branch and Reid Drain - Townline Branch for parcels 910-00400, 910,-01000 & 910-01300.
  • Awarding the purchase of the Online Portal for Planning and Development Services to CloudPermit, for the price of $18,000 plus HST per year. This portal will provide all Planning and Development Services applications and the proponent’s ability to submit the application as well as view status updates on the submitted application.
  • Appointing Councillor John Hammond as Member to the Appeal Committee and Mayor Hilda MacDonald as the Alternate Member to the Appeal Committee for the 2018-2022 Council term.
  • Providing direction to Administration regarding the collection of business licence applications and renewal fees for Salesperson – Day Sales and Salesperson –Door to Door Sales for the remainder of 2021.
  • Establishing the Mayor’s Recognition Awards Committee and that Mayor MacDonald, Deputy Mayor Verbeke, and Councillor Wilkinson be appointed to the Mayor’s Recognition Awards Committee for the balance of the 2018-2022 term. The awards categories are as follows:
    • Athletics Award
    • Outstanding Youth Award
    • Innovation Award
    • Distinguished Volunteer Service Award
    • Community Inspiration Award
    • Mayor’s Special Award
