Council Considers – May 23, 2023

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Council will:

  • Hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider the following matter:
    • Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) Application No. 274 to add a new definition and a new provision to Section 4 General Provisions of Zoning By-law 890-09, as amended, regarding 0.3 metre (one foot) reserves taken for public purposes.
  • Consider a deferred report regarding Official Plan Amendment No. 20 and ZBA Application No. 268 to rezone the property and allow a farm help dwelling for the exclusive use of the abutting farm properties at 824, 828 and 834 Mersea Road 4.
  • Consider a report regarding the Traffic Calming Policy, which was prepared as a result of increased traffic volume and traffic concerns in the Municipality.
  • Consider an amendment to the Traffic By-law to reduce the speed on Mersea Road 1 from Essex County Road 33 to 790m west of Mersea Road 12 from 80km/h to 60km/h.
  • Consider the By-law Enforcement Department Semi Annual Report.
  • Consider an additional 2023 Municipal Grant to the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County for the Leamington Carousel of Nations in the amount of $5,000.
  • Consider a 3% economic adjustment for full-time, non-union staff, including members of Council, members of Compensable Committees, part-time, contract, seasonal, and student positions.
