Council Considers – May 28, 2024

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Council will:

• Hold a Public Meeting under the Drainage Act to:
  • Consider legalizing enclosures of the Fox Drain and Fox Drain Branch.
  • Consider authorizing the construction of a new access bridge over the Lebo Creek Drain, 7^th Concession Branch.

• Consider a report regarding the Municipality of Leamington Water Financial Plan prepared by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd., which outlines the rate structure for water and wastewater and the implications of those rates.

• Consider accepting the municipal services installed in the Bevel Line Village Subdivision Phase 1, beginning the required one-year maintenance period effective February 23, 2024, and consider amendments to Traffic By-law 4284-95 to make changes to No Stopping Areas, No Parking Areas, Through Highways, Pedestrian Crossovers, and Stop Signs.

• Consider a report regarding a 2024 Drainage Debenture Borrowing By-law to allow property owners assessed for municipal drainage capital work exceeding $1,500 to borrow funds for municipal capital drainage performed on the B & C Concession Road Drain West.
