Council Considers – October 11, 2022
Leamington Council will hold a hybrid Council meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Council will:
- Hold a Court of Revision under the Drainage Act to consider the following matter:
- Installation of new access bridges over the Lundy Drain – Section 78.
- Hold a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider the following matters:
- Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 259 related to 969 Kent County Road 1 to rezone a surplus dwelling lot to Agricultural Residential Zone (A5) and rezone a farm parcel to a site-specific Agricultural General Zone (A1) to prohibit future residential uses and buildings. Also, Consent Application B-12-22 to create a new farm parcel and B-13-22 to sever an existing dwelling.
- Golfwood Lakes Plan of Subdivision – Phases 3 to 5 draft plan.
- Consider Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 260 related to Phase 1 of the Bevel Line Village Subdivision to remove the Holding (H) symbol and change the zoning designation of the lands from R3-21(h) to R3-21.
- Consider directing the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative grant to the Waterfront Redevelopment Reserve and using funds from the reserve to initiate the design process for improvements to Seacliff Park and Rick Atkin Park.
- Consider expanding the multi-use path along the south side of Seacliff Drive East from Cherry Lane to the western side of Seneca Road.
- Consider purchasing a new mechanic’s truck body and service crane for use by the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
- Review the pedestrian signals located at Talbot Street West and MCR Drive, Talbot Street West and Fader Avenue, and Oak Street West and the Trail.
- Consider receiving the restatement of the 2022 budget.
- Consider a report regarding the functional design of a multi-use path proposed along County Road 33 and Point Pelee Drive.
- Consider reports from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Drinking Water System Inspection Report for the Leamington (Union) Distribution System and the Leamington (Wheatley) Distribution System.
- Consider a report regarding the By-law Enforcement Service Delivery Review Quarterly Report.
- Consider a report regarding the prescription of property standards for the maintenance and occupancy of property.
- Consider issuing a Request for Proposals for the former Leamington District Secondary School lands concept plan and amending the plan to include the building occupied by the 535 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
