At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Council will:

  • Consider a report regarding multiple applications, which include:
    • The request to sever land from 223-265 Talbot Street West to 255 Talbot Street West;
    • To rezone the severed lands from an Agricultural Restricted Zone to a Commercial Highway Zone;
    • To establish an easement for existing telecommunication lines and sanitary sewer lines under the lands being severed; and
    • To establish an access easement.
  • Consider a report regarding 2023 property tax adjustments.
  • Consider a report regarding the 2022 audited financial statements.
  • Consider the 2022 year-end variance analysis.
  • Consider the proposed fee schedule for 2024 for the Municipality of Leamington.
  • Consider a report regarding proposed changes in assessment values for two parcels of land on the Gorrell Drain located in the Municipality of Leamington.
  • Consider a report regarding a water service agreement between the Municipality and Caldwell First Nation at the Caldwell Gas Station.
  • Consider a request for a tender to be awarded to Field Electrical Contractors Inc, for the installation of a pedestrian crossing at Talbot Street East and Cedar Avenue.
  • Consider a request for a tender to be awarded to Insituform Technologies, Ltd, in the amount of $1,323,267 (excluding applicable taxes) regarding the Oak Street Relining Project.
  • Consider a report regarding replacing the Archimedes Screw Pumps for the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
  • Consider the awarding of a contract to AECOM Canada Ltd. in the amount of $279,520, excluding HST, in relation to the Leamington Pollution Control Centre Masterplan.
  • Consider a report regarding recent inspection reports from the Union and Wheatley water distribution systems.
  • Consider a report regarding a request to borrow funds for municipal capital drainage works to be performed on the Sturgeon Creek Drain, South Dales Drain and Hooker Drain.
