Leamington Council will hold an electronic Council meeting on July 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM to consider the following reports:

  • A Public Meeting under the Drainage Act regarding new access culverts over the 4th Concession Road Drain.
  • Awarding the 2021 East Marsh Drainage Scheme Breakwall maintenance contract to Cobby Marine (1985) Inc. for a total cost not to exceed $100,000 (including applicable taxes) and awarding the 2021 (Phase 2) Marentette Drainage Scheme Breakwall repairs contract to Cobby Marine (1985) Inc. for a total cost not to exceed $100,000.
  • Purchasing one 2021 524P John Deere Articulating Wheel Loader in the amount of $238,524 (plus HST) from Brandt Tractor Ltd.
  • Approving a resolution regarding Joint and Several Liability and Insurance Costs. On March 23, 2021, Council received a letter from the Municipality of Tweed. At that time, Council voted to support the Tweed letter and directed Administration to draft a resolution specific to the Municipality’s experience with insurance costs. 
  • Authorizing the use of a portion of the Pedestrian Pier for the purposes of the operation of a food vehicle operating as Twisted Sistaz from July 16, 2021 to September 30, 2021.
  • To bring forward a by-law to borrow funds for municipal capital drainage work performed on the Gorrell and Goslin Drains.
  • Amending the by-law to impose fees and charges by the Corporation of the Municipality of Leamington to add sign permit fees and water service fees as outline below:

Schedule L – Water Services Fees

Water Meter Tampering Fee (3 hour minimum per incident) $400.00         

Water Meter Tampering Fee (per hour charge exceeding 3 hour minimum, not prorated) $150.00

After-hours Reconnection Fee $170.00
