Council Matters – October 12, 2021

At the Council meeting on October 12, 2021, Council:

  • Received a presentation from the City of Windsor regarding the Windsor-Essex Regional Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and authorized the Essex County Council to approve the Windsor-Essex Regional Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and any subsequent reports as required, on behalf of the Municipality.
  • Received a report on the Marentette Drainage Scheme Repairs and Project Updates.
  • Adopted the Engineer’s report for the Changes in Assessment to the 4th Concession Road Drain, prepared by Baird AE for parcel 660-00100 pursuant to the provisions of the Drainage Act, Section 65 (3 & 4).
  • Awarded the 2021 Sidewalk Program – Armstrong Drive to McDonalds Restaurant project to Valente Contracting Inc., in the amount of $78,899 (plus applicable taxes).
  • Approved H00 - Use of the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre and Entry into Municipal Facilities – Vaccination Policy. Any member of the public who wishes to enter a municipal facility will be required to be vaccinated unless the entry is for the purposes of using a washroom or obtaining customer service and the service can be provided with the use of an impermeable barrier.  For example, a person who wishes to enter the Municipal Building to pay his or her taxes may enter without providing evidence of vaccination.
