Council Matters – September 28, 2021

At the Council meeting on September 28, 2021, Council:

  • Held a Public Meeting under the Drainage Act regarding A and B Concession Road Drain – New Culvert for Parcel # 480-01900.
  • Held a Public Meeting under the Planning Act. Council approved Consent Application B-38-19 creating a surplus dwelling lot at 564 Talbot Road East and Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 207 to change the zoning of the severed lot at 564 Talbot Road East from Agricultural General Zone to Agricultural Residential Zone. Council also authorized the change of zoning of the retained farm parcel from Agricultural General Zone to site-specific Agricultural General Zone to prohibit residential uses and buildings.
  • Held a Public Meeting under the Planning Act and approved Consent Applications B-26-27-28-29-30-21 for lot additions. Council also gave provisional approval of Consent Application B-31-21 for the establishment of an easement for the purpose of access and approved Zoning By-law Amendment Application No. 240 to change the zone of the severed lands from Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone to Agricultural General Zone.
  • Authorized notice to be provided to the owners of the land assessed for the drainage works to abandon approximately 60m of the top end of the Jones Sideroad Drain.
  • Received By-law Enforcement Services’ Quarterly Report for information.
  • Approved the 2022 Fee Schedules for fees charged by the Municipality.
  • Pursuant to Section 42 of the Municipal Elections Act, Council approved the use of vote by mail for the 2022 municipal election.
