COVID-19 Service Level Adjustments - Leamington Building Services

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Municipality of Leamington remains open for business but in a manner that will allow the public we serve and our employees to be both safe and productive. 

Leamington Building Services is accepting building permit applications by email at bldgdept@leamington.ca and through the drop box located at the entrance to the Leamington Municipal Building off Queens Avenue. 

All permit applications will be dated and processed in queue. Building permit review and inspections may take longer than usual due to COVID-19 screening measures and special procedures which have been put into place for the protection of municipal staff and the public. 

The issuance of a building permit by the Municipality of Leamington does not relieve the permit holder of the need to determine whether the construction is permitted to proceed in accordance with Ontario Regulation 82/20, as amended.

To schedule an inspection, please contact Building Services at 519-326-5761 ext. 1440.  You will be asked COVID-19 screening questions developed by Ontario Public Health and must have a permit for construction that is deemed essential by the Ontario Government under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
