Leamington Municipal Services on Canada Day, 2022

Please note the following municipal service level adjustments on Canada Day, Friday, July 1, 2022:

Leamington Municipal Building

The Leamington Municipal Building will be closed on Canada Day. Residents can continue to report non-urgent municipal issues online at leamington.ca/reportanissue.

Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre

The Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre will be closed on Friday, July 1. Visit www.leamington.ca/recreation for more information.

Garbage and Recycling Collection

Garbage and yard waste collection scheduled for Friday, July 1, will be moved to Monday, July 4, due to the holiday. Please refer to the collection calendar for details at leamington.ca/garbage.


The LTGO on-demand transit service will operate on Friday, July 1, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

LTW Transit (Leamington to Windsor transit service) will not operate on Friday, July 1.

Community Celebration

On Friday, July 1, the Municipality of Leamington will host a free Canada Day celebration including two evening concerts produced by The Bank Theatre and a fireworks show at the waterfront.

Leamington’s SUNSET® Amphitheatre will set the stage for musical acts Leave Those Kids alone followed by Mary Newland & The Blue Bayou Band at 8:30 PM.

Following the concerts, a fireworks show will be launched from a barge on Lake Erie beginning at approximately 10:00 PM.

All are welcome to attend this free, un-ticketed outdoor event. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and set up on the lawn for the show.
