Leamington Storm Cleanup
As a result of yesterday’s storm, Public Works crews continue to remove downed trees and branches from sidewalks, roadways and parks throughout the Municipality.
The Municipality will not be collecting or chipping large residential branches or yard waste. Downed branches can be placed roadside for weekly yard waste collection and must be cut and tied in bundles not to exceed 48” long and 24” in diameter and weigh no more than 45 lbs. Please refer to the 2023 Collection Calendar for additional details at leamington.ca/garbage.
Branches can be brought to the EWSWA Transfer Station #2 located at 2021 Albuna Townline (County Rd. 31). Stumps/branches under 18" in diameter, and less than 48" long are accepted free of charge. Stumps/branches over 18" in diameter, but less than 36" in diameter, and less than 48" long are accepted, but regular tipping fees apply.
To submit a service request for fallen branches or trees that pose a specific hazard to public safety, please visit leamington.ca/reportanissue or call 519-326-5761.
If you see a branch on an electrical wire, do not touch it and report it immediately to your electricity provider.
