A Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 6:00 PM to consider Zoning By-law Amendment Application ZBA No. 233, which proposes to rezone 458 Mersea Road 21 from an Agricultural Hobby Farm (A3) Zone to a site specific Agricultural Hobby Farm (A3-26) Zone to permit a second dwelling unit measuring 140m2 (1500 sq. ft.) within the existing single detached dwelling, as well as establish zone provisions related to the second dwelling unit.  A second dwelling unit is considered a self-contained dwelling unit with separate kitchen, bathroom and sleeping facilities.  

Due to COVID-19 and restrictions on public gatherings, this meeting will be held in a virtual forum through electronic participation only. There will not be an in-person meeting.

Anyone is welcome to make written and/or verbal comments either in support of or in opposition to the application. Please note that if you wish to provide oral comments at the electronic meeting, you must register in advance by emailing or calling 519-326-5761 extension 1121 prior to Monday, August 9th, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Once you register, you will be contacted by the Clerk’s Department and provided information on how to make your submission at the electronic meeting by electronic participation. To participate, you will need access to a computer or tablet with internet service or a telephone.

As an alternative to attending the meeting, written correspondence may be submitted to the Clerk no later than Monday, August 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Please email or drop it in the Leamington Municipal Building mail slot located to the right of the rear entrance off of the parking lot. The Municipal Building is located at 111 Erie Street North, Leamington, Ontario, N8H 2Z9. Please note, written correspondence may be included on the agenda which will be published on the municipal website and will form part of the public record.
