Christine Dundas, the 2019-2020 winner of Reinvent This Space, has opened the doors to her new business, Christine’s Bake Shop, at 53 Talbot Street East in Uptown Leamington.

Christine’s Bake Shop is a family-run, small batch bakery producing cookies, loaves, cupcakes, muffins, scones, cakes, and more.

“This new storefront not only gives Christine’s Bake Shop the next step in reaching its full potential, but it also enhances the liveliness and economic vitality of Leamington’s Uptown,” said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. “We are very hopeful that this success story gives other local entrepreneurs the inspiration they need to succeed.”

“We have been met with so much support and encouragement and couldn’t be happier to be part of the amazing Uptown Leamington business community,” said Christine Dundas. “We are very thankful for the Reinvent This Space program and look forward to welcoming many members of the community into Christine’s Bake Shop to enjoy delicious homemade baked goods for many years to come.”

As the winner of Leamington’s Reinvent This Space contest, Christine’s Bake Shop received Community Improvement Plan (CIP) grant funding to cover 12 months of rent for an Uptown Leamington storefront. Christine also received in-depth mentoring from a panel of local business leaders.
