Vaccination/Rapid Test Requirements and Safety Precautions in Place

The Municipality has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination/rapid test policy to help protect the health and safety of our employees, guests and the broader community.

Beginning September 8, individuals, 12 years of age and older, will be required to confirm full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result within 12 hours in order to gain access to the facility. Individuals will also be required to make an appointment to participate in any program or class through the Municipality’s online booking system. These requirements will be in addition to other COVID-19 pre-screening protocols.

Visitors will be required to wear a mask inside the facility, except while eating, drinking or while engaging in an athletic or fitness activity as per provincial public health directives.

A frequently asked questions document has been developed to answer many questions users may have about our COVID-19 vaccination/rapid test policy.

We’re making improvements to our facility

Beginning in October, we will be undertaking an HVAC system upgrade that will maximize fresh air, and improve internal ventilation and air quality throughout our facility. The project will take approximately two months to complete and will cause a temporary disruption to some of our programs and services. For the duration of the project, the weight room will be closed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and request your patience as we make this important upgrade to our facility.
