Update: Proof of Vaccination Required at Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre

Default Interior

After releasing information last week about requirements for entering the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has issued a Letter of Instruction for organized sport and recreation facilities. The Letter of Instruction removes the exemption offered under the provincial Reopening Ontario Act that allows those 12-17 years old to participate in organized sport or recreation without the need to present proof of vaccination. The Letter of Instruction comes into effect on October 1, 2021.

To enter the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre (effective October 1)

  • Any person 12 years old and older will need to show proof of vaccination and identification.
  • Any person under 12 is exempt and will not need to show proof of vaccination.

Individuals can provide proof of vaccination by downloading or printing their vaccine receipt from the provincial booking portal at covid19.ontariohealth.ca, or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900.
