Welcome to the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex

The Kinsmen Recreation Complex is a multi-use facility providing Leamington and surrounding communities a variety of recreational opportunities all under one roof.  The LKRC is a place for people of all ages to gather for sports, fitness, meetings, and community events.

Originally known as the Frank T. Sherk Aquatic and Fitness Centre, 'The Sherk' opened in 1985 and the twin pad Highbury Canco and Unico Arenas were adjoined in 2000 to form our current 179,000 square foot facility.

  • Monday to Thursday 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM
  • Friday 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Saturday 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Sunday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Located inside the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex:

Swim Admission Policy

Your safety is our main concern and we know it is your main concern as well. To make our facility as safe as possible and adhere to Public Pool Regulations:

Children 7 and Under - Must be Within Arm's Reach of a parent or guarding (14 years or older) at all times.  Limit of 3 chilren per adult

Children 8-9 - Supervision and Swim test required. Supervision must be 14 years or older but is not required to be in the water.

Children 10-13 - May swim on their own but may not act as supervision for a younger swimmer.

Participants with serious medical conditions (especially seizure disorders) should be accompanied by another person knowledgeable of their condition.  A support person may need to be in the water to ensure the swimmer's safety.

 
General User Policies
 
Electronic Device Policy
Patrons wishing to use photographic/video recording devices, in any registered or supervised program must receive permission from the Municipality of Leamington. The use of all cell phones, or any devices designed to take photographs, is prohibited in all change rooms, washrooms, weight room areas in all Leamington municipal facilities.
Photography Policy for Advertising and Media Purposes
By participating in public events held in conjunction with the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex/Department of Culture & Recreation Services, all participants grant the Municipality of Leamington the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use photographs in any manner deemed appropriate.  This usage includes, but is not limited to, the internet and all other advertising materials.  Participant's photo/name could be used for public information without additional consideration or compensation.
Appropriate Behaviours Policy
The LKRC exists to provide residents with opportunities to participate in sport and other recreational activities in a safe and positive environment.  The Municipality of Leamington will not tolerate indecency, violence or vandalism in its programs, facilities or properties, and will take the appropriate action where necessary to deal with these incidents.
 Email Consent Policy
By providing your email address to the Municipality, you consent to receiving emails about recreation programs and events, any service disruptions, closures and surveys.
