Leamington Temporarily Closing Recreation Facility
As part of the Municipality’s commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our residents and employees, and in consideration of Windsor-Essex being elevated to Red-Control in the province’s COVID-19 response framework, and recent guidance received from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, we are temporarily closing the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre (NFFRC). This closure will take effect Monday, November 30, 2020, until further notice.
The Red-Control level will limit recreation services including the ability for teams to play games or practice. However, the Municipality of Leamington is taking additional steps, beyond the province’s framework in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. This proactive and temporary closure also reduces the risk that the NFFRC would become the site of any future outbreaks.
