2026 Leaf Collection Begins November 2 in Leamington
The Municipality of Leamington will begin its annual residential leaf vacuum collection program on Monday, November 2, 2026, and will continue through Friday, December 4, 2026.
Residents in Leamington's urban area have two options for disposing of fallen leaves:
Option 1: Regular Yard Waste Collection
Residents may place fallen leaves in an acceptable yard waste container for collection on their regularly scheduled yard waste collection day. Plastic bags will not be accepted.
Urban yard waste collection continues until November 27, 2026, on the following schedule:
- Wednesdays: Properties on the east side of Erie Street, including Erie Street.
- Fridays: Properties on the west side of Erie Street.
Option 2: Boulevard Leaf Vacuum Collection
Residents may rake fallen leaves onto the grass boulevard adjacent to the curb, roadway, sidewalk or asphalt path in front of their property for collection by the Municipality's leaf vacuum equipment.
Important reminders:
- Only fallen leaves are permitted in boulevard piles. Do not include branches or other yard waste.
- Do not rake or sweep leaves onto the roadway. This practice is prohibited and creates a safety hazard.
