Council Considers – August 25, 2026
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Council will consider:
- A Consent Application B-10-26 to create a surplus dwelling lot and rezone a severed lot at 10 Mersea Road 19 from an Agricultural General Zone (A1) to an Agricultural Residential Zone (A5) to recognize the residential use of the lot, and to change the zoning of the retained farm parcel and abutting farm parcel from an Agricultural General Zone (A1) to a site-specific Agricultural General Zone (A1-51) to prohibit residential use and buildings.
- Awarding the 2026 Mersea Road 1 Resurfacing Project to Mill-Am Corporation in the amount of $2,227,628 (plus applicable taxes) and approving additional funding from the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, up to $843,253 (plus applicable taxes).
- Approving an additional amount of $703,226 (including net HST) to Sterling Ridge Infrastructure Inc. for the trench restoration scope modifications and storm sewer installation for the Northeast Trunk Sewer and Seacliff Drive Reconstruction Phases 2-4 project.
- Appointing Mayor MacDonald as proxyholder for the Municipality of Leamington to cast its shareholder votes at Union Water Supply System Inc shareholders’ annual meeting, and appointing Councillor Paul Tiessen as an alternate proxyholder.
