Council Considers – July 28, 2026
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Council will consider:
- Holding a Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider an application to rezone vacant land southwest of Bevel Line from Residential Zone (R3-21(h)) to a site-specific Residential Zone (R3-27(h)) to allow for residential subdivision development.
- A report regarding the expropriation of lands to expand Seacliff Park, construct a boardwalk extension from Seacliff Park to Erie Street and improve the waterfront area.
- Proposed amendments to the Council, Agency, Board and Committee (ABC) Remuneration and Compensation Policy including a remuneration structure and associated benefits for members of Council, conducting a Council Compensation Review every 4 year, annual assessments for establishing annual economic adjustments, and providing reasonable compensation for member of Council or ABC for expenses and attendances at Conferences or Events.
- A report regarding the borrowing of funds for municipal maintenance drainage for a culvert performed on the Sloan Drain and Branches.
- A new by-law to establish retention periods of Records of the Municipality of Leamington.
- A Service Provider Agreement between the City of Windsor and the Municipality of Leamington for the Childcare Subsidy Program for children to participate in day camp programs offered at the Nature Fresh Recreation Centre (NFFRC).
