Council Considers – June 9, 2026
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Council will consider:
- Naming the Municipal park located at 47 Erie Street South “Migrant Worker Square” and installing the Italian Centennial Park sign at 1 John Street.
- A plan to initiate recycling at Rick Atkin Park, Waterfront Market Plaza, Seacliff Park, Kinsmen Baseball Diamonds, Leamington Pure Flavor Soccer Complex and Mersea Park and to use natural plantings as opposed to artificial turf in municipal rights of way and in public parks.
- Extending the Employee and Family Assistance Program services by FSEAP in the amount of $9,030.00 (plus HST) for 2026 and extend services for a three-year term.
- Issuing a purchase order to Andritz Separation Inc. in the amount of $95,590 USD excluding tax to purchase and replace the centrifuge variable frequency drives at the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
- A Visitor Policy which outlines the rules and procedures for Visitors visiting the Municipal Building.
- A report regarding the 2025 Budget Restatement.
