Council Considers - May 26, 2026
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Council will:
- Consider awarding the Bayview Park Development project contract to Barrineti Construction Ltd. in the amount of $3,093,496.
- Consider awarding the Bridge 4 Reconstruction project to Rudak Excavating Inc. in the amount of $668,900.
- Consider awarding the Traffic Infrastructure Improvements project to Field Electrical Contractors Inc. in the amount of $1,039,729 to construct three Pedestrian Crossovers, a new traffic signal at the intersection of Talbot Street and Armstrong Drive and remove the pedestrian signal at Talbot Steet and Fader Avenue.
- Consider a contract addition to design and construct the sanitary sewer component of the Mersea Road 1 reconstruction project to BT Engineering Inc. in the amount of $239,315.
- Consider a new Swimming Pool By-law to regulate privately owned outdoor swimming pools.
- Consider borrowing funds for municipal capital drainage performed on the Lebo Creek Drain for property owners assessed on municipal drainage capital work exceeding $1,500.
- Consider a 2026 Service Agreement between the City of Windsor and the Municipality of Leamington to continue delivering the Pathway to Potential Poverty Reduction Programs.
- Consider an engineer’s report regarding changes in the maintenance schedules for the Hooker Drain to reflect property owner utilization due to proposed development.
- Consider a report regarding changes to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and new privacy requirements affecting institutions.
- Consider implementing Terms of Reference for the Court of Revision.
- Consider appointing a proxyholder for the 2025 Essex Power Corporation Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
