Council Considers – October 13, 2026
At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Council will consider:
- A Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) #379 to rezone 482 County Road 31, 137 County Road 18, 426 County Road 31, 440 County Road 31, 460 County Road 31, 450 County Road 31, 466 County Road 31, 484 County Road 31, 112 Mersea Road 5 and 0 Mersea Road 5 from an Agricultural Hobby Farm Zone (A3), Agricultural Extractive Zone (A4) and an Agricultural Residential Zone (A5) to a site-specific Agricultural General Zone (A1-52).
- The closure and transfer of an alley between Silver Avenue and Julien Avenue.
- A by-law to impose fees to benefitting properties in connection with the Margaret, Audrey, Jane, Claire, Sherk Reconstruction Project.
- Awarding the 2026 Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining contract to Capital Sewer Services Inc in the amount of $398,426 (plus applicable taxes).
- Approving municipal funding in an amount not to exceed $18,543,651 for all sanitary sewer works associated with the Northeast Trunk Sewer Project and awarding the next phase of the Northeast Sanitary Trunk Sewer Construction Project to J&J Lepera in the amount of $49,423,111 (plus applicable taxes).
- A diaper disposal pilot program.
- Awarding the contract for Sanitary Pump Station upgrades to Alberici Constructors Ltd in the amount of $663,203 excluding HST and approving an additional $50,000 excluding HST for Dillon Consulting Limited.
- Approving Policy ES-2026-01 - Hauled Sewage.
- Authorize repairs to the structural roof joists in the arts programing room at the Leamington Arts Centre for a total cost of $39,460 (plus HST) and awarding the construction contract to Bartlett Restoration Ltd in the amount of $34,110 (plus HST), contract administration/engineering to J.P. Thomson Architects Ltd for $5,530 (plus HST).
- Approving the 2027 Council Calendar of Meetings.
- Requesting support for the doubling of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund beyond 2026.
- Approving an additional $3,000 from the Parks Reserve to fund the installation of the Migrant Worker Square sign and $3,000 from the Engineering Reserve to fund the installation of the Italian Centennial Park sign.
