Council Matters – August 11, 2026

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, August 11, 2026 Council:

·         Held a Court of Revision under the Drainage Act and confirmed the Schedule of Assessment in the Engineer’s Report for the B & C Concession Road East Drain Replacement Access Culvert.

·         Approved Zoning By-law Amendment Application (ZBA) #380 to rezone vacant lands Southwest of Bevel Line, from a Residential Zone (R3(h)) to a Residential Zone (R3-28(h)).

·         Awarded a contract to replace the bridge on Kildeer Road over the East Marsh Drain to Mark G Contracting Inc. in the amount of $84,540 (plus applicable taxes).

·         Awarded the Kinsmen Baseball Field Lighting project to Clark-Hassen Electric in the amount of $192,276 (plus applicable taxes) and entered into a funding agreement with the Leamington District Minor Baseball Association.

·         Entered into an agreement with Sun Parlour Community Players (The Bank Theatre) for the coordination and delivery of live music programming for the fourth Municipal Market on Friday September 11, 2026.

·         Approved an additional $254,656 (including taxes) to Amico Infrastructure Inc. to complete required works at the Waterfront Market Plaza.

·         Authorized the renewal of a lease agreement with the Ministry of Transportation for the Leamington Dock.
