Council Matters – September 22, 2026

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, September 22, 2026 Council:

• Approved the waiver of all LT-Go transit fares on Municipal Election Day, Monday October 26, 2026, to reduce transportation and financial barriers to voting, with the cost of waived fares funded through the Contingency Reserve.
  
  
• Awarded an additional amount of $2,135,093 (including net HST) to AECOM Canada ULC for services related to construction of the Northeast Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project.
  
  
• Granted an additional $262,184 (including net HST) to Sertas Group Limited for services related to the Northeast Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project.
  
  
• Retained the services of Aquafor Beech Limited to complete the engineering design services for the DMAF Hillman Dyke Restoration project in the amount of $583,340 (plus applicable taxes) and appointed Rob Amos, P. Eng of Aquafor Beech Limited to complete the Engineer’s Report.
  
  
• Authorized the purchase of a Zamboni Model M650 Electric ice resurfacing machine from Zamboni Company Limited in the amount of $204,054.52 plus HST.
  
  
• Authorized the issuing of a purchase order to Xylem Canada LP in the amount of $127,292 plus HST for the purchase and replacement of ultraviolet disinfection equipment at the Leamington Pollution Control Centre.
  
  
• Directed Administration to enter into an easement agreement with Tri-B Acres to acquire an easement in relation to the Northeast Trunk Sanitary Sewer Line.
