Council Matters – September 8, 2026

At the Leamington Council meeting of Tuesday, September 8, 2026 Council:

• Received a presentation by StrategyCorp for the Recreation Service Delivery Review.
• Awarded the 2027-2032 Waste Collection contract to Miller Waste Systems Inc (Miller) in the amount of $920,162 excluding HST and approved moving to a biweekly household waste collection.
• Approved the Ultimate Recipient Agreement between the Municipality of Leamington and Caldwell First Nation for the East Marsh Dyke Rehabilitation Project.
• Confirmed amendments to a by-law regulating the Operation of Municipal Cemeteries.
• Adopted a policy to establish requirements for the authorization, installation, operation, management and safeguarding of livestreaming equipment and related data in the Municipal Recreational Facilities, including the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.
• Passed By-law 79-26 to temporarily delegate certain authority to the Chief Administrative Officer during a Restricted Period.
• Appointed Chris Del Greco to the Union Water Supply System Inc. Board of Directors as the Municipality’s Independent Director.
